JUMPSUITS/ONESIES PART DUH!
Well, well, well, jumpsuits, we meet again. I didn’t think it would be so soon, but I’m happy it is. As we’ve seen before, Clair is at her most functional in a casual jumpsuit. Now don’t get me wrong, Clair is a mom so of course she enjoys her sweatpants and comfy cotton shirts as much as the next person:
(Although “schlubbing” it in sweats, she still color coordinates her socks with her oversized red polo. That is dedication).
But doing things around the house proves to be much more fun in the ease and comfort that one piece of draping fabric provides. Check out this purple jumpsuit
I MEAN…wide v-neck, short dolman sleeves, silver broach on her left shoulder, silver waist-accentuating belt, big diamond shaped silver earrings (a shape she often sports), and GOLD sensible pumps (very nice back foot toe-point)! Everything about this piece is jaw dropping and makes me say out loud to myself: “Clair, how dare you tease me with a lilac capri pant onesie?”—A phrase I don’t say a lot.
Jumpsuits make bringing coffee or tea to your guests a lot easier. It is so annoying to deal with separates—they make loyal wife-chores more difficult.
Jumpsuits make you more sporty and athletic. They allow you to do light tray lifting safely while engaging the correct muscles. Wide stance, flat back, flexi forward fold, all while providing refreshments for your husband and your daughter’s gentleman caller. Pleats and generous amounts of fabric surrounding the genital area allow abdominal engagement and effortless femininity. God bless you Clair Huxtable, and thank you for reminding me what it means to be a woman.

ROBIN GIVENS!!!
Robin Givens was an unexpected surprise, and although she is NOWHERE NEAR Clair’s realm, she is definitely inspired by our mom-style icon.
She’s wearing a felt blue (One of Clair’s colors) jumpsuit with what appears to be a red (another one of Clair’s colors) raglan sweater/shirt with shoulder pads. Very impressive start Robin. If you’re going to show up to the Huxtable house, you might as well dress by Clair’s rules.
This jumpsuit is very reminiscent of a pajama onesie. It is very tightly tucked into those boots creating an interesting cross-legged silhouette. Is it perhaps a stirrup situation? (i hope so).
